Kudu Leather boots with full leather linings (FL). This remarkable leather by Steads in Leeds is beautifully soft and incredibly strong due to the tight grain structure. A member of the Antelope family, the Kudu lives wild in Southern Africa, and the leather bears the natural blemishes of a life in the bush. A waxed finish further highlights the unique character of the leather.
Featuring our top-tier finishing with hand beaded edges, full leather lining using beautifully soft French calf to complement the soft Kudu uppers, and with nubuck heel grip counter lining.
Stitchdown lasted onto buffed 3mm veg tanned leather insoles, and finished with Lactae Hevea Ranger soles, complimenting the lightweight feel of the leather with incredible comfort and bounce.
We have enough of this specific leather for approximately 20 pairs and it is not repeatable. Every pair made will be different due to the natural random markings on the leather.
Manufacturing
Made to order in our workshop in Suffolk England, using predominantly British Made machinery from the 1960's specific to the manufacture of the stitchdown construction, delivering the most authentic British made desert boots and shoes in the world - only from Jadd.
Leather Care
All our suedes can be kept clean with a suede brush and crepe rubber. Rub in one direction at a time, do not scrub. Loose fibers can be singed away with a lighter. When wet, allow to dry naturally over a few days.
All other leathers can be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth, and conditioned with dubbin and/or beeswax based products to keep the appearance tidy as you see fit. Use neutral colour products to maintain the original appearance.
