Desert Boot Sand Suede
Description
This is the original specification desert boot, in light coloured sand suede with natural crepe rubber soles. This suede is a top grain split with resin backer, which means the finished nap is closer and finer than our usual ox-reverse suede. It also weighs in a little thicker at 2.4mm.
The heel area inside the boot is lined with suede for durable heel grip, and the toe stiffener is inserted inside the leather by a special splitting process, resulting in a durable and comfortable unlined construction.
Stitchdown lasted onto full veg. tan leather insoles, with a cushioned leather heel sock, and wooden shanks for arch support.
Manufacturing
Made to order in our workshop in Suffolk England, using predominantly British Made machinery from the 1960's specific to the manufacture of the stitchdown construction, delivering the most authentic British made desert boots and shoes in the world - only from Jadd.
Leather Care
All our suedes can be kept clean with a suede brush and crepe rubber. Rub in one direction at a time, do not scrub. Loose fibers can be singed away with a lighter. When wet, allow to dry naturally over a few days.
All other leathers can be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth, and conditioned with dubbin and/or beeswax based products to keep the appearance tidy as you see fit. Use neutral colour products to maintain the original appearance.
