Description
Unlined construction in ox-reverse suede from Italy, this is the best suede of them all, using full grain leather at its full weight (2.2mm) with the smooth grain side on the inside of the boot. This luxurious leather is beautifully soft yet thick in substance, for the ultimate in durable comfort.
The heel area inside the boot is lined with suede for durable heel grip, and the toe stiffener is inserted inside the leather by a special splitting process, resulting in a durable and comfortable unlined construction.
Stitchdown lasted onto full veg. tan leather insoles, with a cushioned leather heel sock, and wooden shanks for arch support.
Manufacturing
Made to order in approx. 3 weeks at our workshop in Suffolk England, using the last known working British-made machinery from the 1960's specific to the manufacture of the stitchdown construction, delivering the most authentic British-made desert boots and shoes in the world - only from Jadd.
Leather Care
All our suedes can be kept clean with a suede brush and crepe rubber. Rub in one direction at a time, do not scrub. Loose fibers can be singed away with a lighter. When wet, allow to dry naturally over a few days.
All other leathers can be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth, and conditioned with dubbin and/or beeswax based products to keep the appearance tidy as you see fit. Use neutral colour products to maintain the original appearance.

"Boots arrived today. Went for a Tobacco Reverse Suede Desert Boot Ordering- simple and selection including size was confirmed, which I like. Came up immediately in “ Shop” Payment was easy with Pay Pal Boots- pleased with the quality. Leather is buttery soft, and indeed 2 mm plus thick. I am a bit of a shoe snob, when it comes to construction, and these press the right buttons for me. Reverse suede is so so much more robust than most splits and combined with good stitch down construction, should last years. Very comfortable and it feels as if there is a shank in the sole, which is not present in the desert boots produced by the company known for these boots. I may be wrong, but they still feel very comfortable. Sizing spot on, 8. 5UK"

"Just received these in the post. Beautiful shoes (tobacco suede with natural vibram sole). Looking forward to breaking them in over the winter. Unfortunately I had to pay a not insubstantial amount for import into the EU. If it were any other pair of shoes I would not accept the package and send them back, but these shoes are well worth the extra."

"Before I purchased these shoes I sent an email asking some basic questions. I was encouraged by a claim on the web site that emails were promptly answered. As of yet no answer, that should have been the tell. Nonetheless I made a purchase. The shoes appear well made with quality materials. My problem is my heel slips in the shoe. My second email to Radd about this problem has again yet to be answered; or perhaps, this was that response - please write a review??? Since it will cost me more to ship the shoes back than the cost of the shoes I’ll be keeping them. If you live near the company I’m sure you can get a very nice pair of shoes that you will very much enjoy. If you live “across the pond” in the USA buyer beware."
